High Waisted Jeans - High Rise Jeans
Some people love high waisted jeans, and some people hate them. Personally, I love that I can wear a pair of high-waisted, wide leg jeans one day and the next I can wear skinny, low-rise jeans, or any combination in between. I don't think there has ever been a time in fashion history where basically anything goes. Well, almost, the one no-no remains the mom jean. A high-waisted, wide at the hips, tapered leg jean. That is the one absolute no-no. That said, there are so many great pairs of modern, stylish high-waisted jeans available now, you'll want to give them a try!

High Waist / High Rise Jeans
A high-rise or high-waisted garment is one designed to sit high on, or above, the wearer's hips, usually at least 8 centimetres (3 inches) higher than the navel. In western cultures, high-rise jeans were especially common in the 1970s, in competition with low-rise pants.
