Being petite comes with its challenges. One challenge I faced as a petite person was trying to find petite maternity pants. I was shocked to see that one of my favorite retail stores, Target, does not carry petite clothing let alone petite maternity pants. I then figured that I should try and check the inventory on eBay and was disappointed in the limited selection of petite maternity pants offered for sale.
Lucky for me not every store is like Target and recognizes that women do come in sizes other then "regular". While I was pregnant last winter I purchased a few pairs of petite maternity jeans at just $19.99/each on sale. The jeans lasted throughout my entire pregnancy and still have life left in them. My guess would be that these petite maternity jeans would last for another two or three pregnancies. The petite maternity jeans are from the brand name Duo Maternity. You can find petite maternity jeans with adjustable buttons, low rise, or even full belly panel.
If you rather not buy petite maternity pants you can choose to wear a Bella Band along with your pre-maternity pants and jeans. The Bella Band acts like a cover for your unbuttoned pants button, and possibly unzipped fly. The Bella Band is costly at around $25 each, however they do replace having to buy several pairs of petite maternity jeans and pants. They also allow you to wear your favorite non-maternity petite jeans and pants while pregnant. The Bella Band also claims to add extra support to your ever growing tummy.
Being petite and pregnant could pose as being a challenge when it comes to fashion. Luckily these stores and websites recognize that not all women are sized "regular".
